Born in Yogyakarta, Sonia Prabowo is now based in Bali, Indonesia. Managing her own photography works in Bali, she is also working as an Associate Photographer at Agustinus Sidarta Photography, Jakarta - A photo studio specializing on commercial photography industry. Interested in art since junior high, but graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta. She once commented: "I was born in the wrong community".

Her interest in knowing and understanding people strengthens her ability to produce a "so you" portraiture photograph. She claims everything has it sensual side and style, and from there comes out honest and unique photos. Natural and available lighting is her fave. No artificial source can compete with God's given light.
